This event by the UN Environment Programme (UNEP) is part of a collaboration between UNEP, the Italian Presidency of the G20 and the Y20 to explore what the key demands are of youth and the education sector and to discuss how the G20 can collectively scale up the formal and informal education agenda.
In this context, UNEP is organising an event to host a discussion with young leaders and experts from across the G20 to discuss specific questions/recommendations for the G20 ministers on how they could support these efforts. The event will kick off with a 30-minute discussion among G20 ministers, UN Environment Programme and EU representatives, moderated by young people from the Y20 to share their thoughts around some of these key themes. This discussion will be followed by three 30-minutes sessions focusing on the themes of formal education, non-formal education and building capacities to rewire the future.
